A dental implant is an alloplastic, biocompatible material that is used to replace a missing tooth or teeth.
How does a dental implant stay in the jaws?
The dental implant heals by a process called osseointegration (fusion of bone with the implant in the jaw).
Can both jaws be rehabilitated with fixed teeth?
Yes, after evaluation and workup, total jaw rehabilitation with implants and fixed prostheses can be done.
What is the duration or stage of treatment?
The stages include implant surgery, bone integration phase (3-6 months), and prosthesis.
